So, who are we???

‘The Hobby Specialists’ has been in the hobby industry since 1996.   In 2006, we began importing and distributing quality R/C aircraft and accessories to hobby shops.  Through our retailers all over Australia, we offer modellers superior products, with unmatched after-sales service!  We even offer spare parts for all of our range of ARFs – and you won’t have to wait months to get them!!

The Hobby Specialists does not sell to the public, so contact your local dealer and ask them to order your next model from us.  Check out our links page to find a THS dealer, or contact us by email and we’ll let you know where you can get these great models!  We have a wealth of modelling experience behind us – over 40 years of it! – so, if you have any questions, contact us at info@thehobbyspecialists.com.au  and we’ll do our best to solve your problem!

…and what do we sell???

We are proud to import and distribute E-DO Models and VQ Models.  We selected these factories after sampling products from a number of international manufacturers.  From foam EDF (electric ducted fan) and foam seaplanes, to the largest range of balsa/ply scale warbirds available in Australia, we can supply you with a high quality model which is a delight to both build and fly, and one that you’ll be proud to own! 

Check out the growing range of VQ scale civilian aircraft – our CAP 10s and Pilatus Porters are just the best things to fly for fun, or to enter a scale contest!  Why waste your precious time building, when you can be in the air in hours, not weeks??

…and then there’s our accessories!

 

Do yourself and your model a big favour and try one of our high quality, machined THS Aluminium Spinners, in sizes from 1.5” (38mm), right up to 6” (153mm) for those TOC monsters!  All come with adaptor nut, crankshaft spacers, allen bolt & key.  Adaptor nuts to suit all popular engines are available separately, so look for them in the distinctive THS packet at your local hobby shop – the quality and value will amaze you!! 

 

STOP PRESS!!

 

The new models just keep flying out!  Now available are two versions of the ever-popular Focke Wulf 190A.  This one is for .60 (2S) to .90 (4S) engines, and includes a cleverly concealed battery hatch for easy EP conversion.  Also available with optional retract & oleo strut package, this is a superb model and a great flyer!  Watch out for a review in RCM News soon.
